Summary

Six or seven small brass Roman coins and a large brass of Commodus taken to the Town Clerk of Congleton in 1859. They are reported to be found in a garden in Howey Lane. The coins were subsequently given away. Howey Lane may be on line of Roman road that rand between Congleton and Chesterton (Staffordshire)

Full Description

Six or seven small brass Roman coins and a large brass of Commodus "brought to me 15 years ago" (1859) reported as found in a garden of Howley Lane. Subsequently given away. Howley Lane may be on line of Roman road, Congleton - Chesterton (1).
