Description
Workmen cutting down a ridge of gravel in 1859 near Wilmslow rauilway station discovered an upturned Bronze Age urned. When lifted, dark earth and bones fell out. The earth was sieved before being discarded, and fragments of burnt bone were found along with a pommel.
