Neolithic polished stone axe found whilst digging foundations of a bungalow in October 1957. The site is the former terrace of the River Dane. The Axe is of "Bridlington" type and the rock it is made of is Group 1 (of Cornish origin)

Neolithic polished stone axe found whilst digging foundations of bungalow in October 1957. Site is a former terrace of the River Dane. Axe of "Bridlington" type and of Group 1, rock of Cornish origin.
