Full Description

In 1957, Carlux Electrical Services extended their Nicholas Street premises. This involved the demolition of 16 - 18 Weaver St., and over the course of this work a decorated sherd of Chester ware was recovered in the vicinity of the north wall of the Roman tower (1). Another decorated shoulder sherd was found on an adjacent site in 1974 (2, 3).
