Full Description
An assemblage of Chester ware was reported from excavations carried out in Crook St. in 1963 (1, 2, 3). The assemblage was comprised of one rim sherd, two base sherds and nine plain body sherds (1, 2). Note that while these finds appear to have been unstratified, Saxon timber buildings were excavated immediately to the south at 11 Crook St. (CHER 9012).
