<3> L J Dodd, 2015, A report on the finds from an Archaeological Evaluation at The Church of St Alban, Tattenhall (Client Report). SCH7981.

Twenty fragments of decorated medieval floor tile was recovered from evaluation trenches in 2009. The tile was in very fragmentary condition and the surfaces were worn. The decoration was of the line impressed type and the tiles were glazed, some were slip coated also. The vast majority have parallels with the excavated material from Norton Priory. These floor tiles provide an indication of the decorative schmese associated with the Perpendicaulr church of which now only the west tower survives.
