House, formerly Rectory, mid nineteenth century. Probably by C & J Trubshaw. Red Flemish bond brick with blue brick diapering which forms a continuous trellis pattern of diamonds over the whole of the wall surface; and ashlar dressings, with a roof of fishscale tiles. The road front has projecting gabled wings at left and right with a recessed central portion. This latter has a lean-to porch supported on square wooden piers with chamfered corners resting on ashlar bases. To the rear wall is a central four-panel doorway with two-light casement window to either side and decoratively patterned metal glazing bars. To the first floor is a semi-dormer window of three lights with a gablet above which has ashlar springers and coping. To right of this the projecting gabled wing has a projecting plinth, ashlar quoins to the corners and ashlar kneelers and coping to the gable, with a string-course between the ground and first floors, all of which features are common to the four gabled projections on the front and rear of the house. This gabled wing has a ground floor window of two lights, with chamfered ashlar sill and lintel. Two first floor single-light windows and a similar window to the attic. The left hand wing has a central projecting chimney stack with offsets to the sides and two flues. Ridge chimney stack at left of centre. The right hand side has a projecting gabled wing at right with a four-light ground floor window and a three-light first floor window with a two-light window above to the attic. To the left of this is a single-light ground floor window and similar to the first floor with a gablet above it. A two-flue chimney stack rises at left of this. At right is a later lean-to. The left hand side has a three-light window at right and a canted bay window at left with a hipped roof. To the first floor are two two-light casement windows with gablets above. To the rear are two projecting wings at either end. The right hand wing has a four-light ground floor and a three-light first floor window with a slit window to the gable. The centre has a four-light ground floor window, a three-light first floor window and a gablet above. The left hand wing has the later outshut before the ground floor, a half-glazed door to right and two single-light windows at first floor level. The left hand gable has a chimney stack of four flues above it.
