School and schoolmaster's house. c.1845. Probably by C and J Trubshaw. Flemish bond brick with ashlar dressings and a fishscale roof. The churchyard front has a projecting wing at right of two storeys with ashlar quoins to the corners and a central three-light window with chamfered ashlar surround. Similar two-light window to the first floor. To left of this and slightly recessed is the single storey school building which has a central three-light window with two-light windows at either side, all having chamfered ashlar surrounds. To left again is a projecting gabled wing with ashlar quoins to the corners and a five-light window to the ground floor. At left again is a later nineteenth century and early twentieth century addition with a late twentieth century outshut with flat roof before it, above and behind which is a gabled dormer window containing two lights and to left of which is a window of two lights. The right hand side is to the schoolmaster's house and is of two bays with a central doorway to the ground floor with an ashlar surround and plank door. To either side of this are two-light casement windows with chamfered ashlar surrounds. Two similar semi-dormer windows to the first floor set in gablets. Ashlar quoins to the corners and to the corner of a slightly recessed portion of walling at right. Extensive twentieth century addition at rear.
