Full Description

The brick and tile works is not depicted on this map. The plot is recorded as pasture.

This map depicts a brick and tile works at this location. The open workings are depicted as a sub-rectangular earthwork occupying the entire length of the plot, and much of it's width. Three buildings, two rectangular and one square, are depicted on the south-eastern side.

The works have been extended into the adjacent plot to the south-east. The map depicts two larger open pits, smaller than the area previously depicted. The buildings are still extant.

The map shows a number of large open pits and earthworks indicative of earlier workings. The buildings are still extant.

The pits are still extant, but some scrub growth is evident over the site. The buildings are no longer extant.

The north-eastern part of the site appears to have been reclaimed and levelled. Earthworks associated with extraction clearly survive in the south-western part.
