Summary

"Allen House" is shown on the 1886 town plan of Macclesfield with bay windows and walled garden. Occupies a site along site alongside the River Bollin between Victoria and Park Green Mills. Early 20th century aerial photographs show that the garden walls survive through the later use of the house as commercial premises, including as a garage.

House and garden named "Allen House" shown. House has two bay windows. Steps down to a garden with walls. A "Vase" is marked on the lawn and paths follows the edges of the plot.
