Summary

A brick built and stone roofed house dating from the mid to late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. The house was originally part of a smallholding whose associated buildings were demolished in the late nineteenth and mid twentieth centuries.

Full Description

Brick built house with a chimney at either gable end and stone slate roof. Two stories, with two bays, and presumably a central doorway. There is a probable nineteenth century two story, one bay extension at the north-eastern end, and a sympathetic modern extension, orientated at ninety degrees to the original house, at the south-western end. Tall chimney pots with crown-like tops. Modern single-story outbuilding to north-east.

Depicts the house with a similar sized outbuilding to the immediate north and directly adjacent to the road. Described as Homestead etc. occupied by Daniel Sutton.

This map depicts the house with an extension on the northern end. A range of buildings, adjacent to the road and larger than the house, are depicted to the immediate north. Two adjoining small outbuildings are depicted to the south-east of the house extension. An orchard is depicted to the south-west of the house.

The range of buildings adjacent to the road have been demolished, as have the two small outbuildings to the south-east. A new outbuilding is depicted to the north-east of the house. To the south-east of the new building is an open sided building, possibly a hay barn.
