Summary

Late 19th century maps show two watercress beds in farmland in Little Budworth. Watercress beds are a cultivated plantation of watercress, usually situated near springs or small running streams. These are marked on modern OS mapping and appear to survive in the lanscape. A water cress fower in recorded in Little Budworth in the early 20th century
