Full Description

An area containing four distinct blocks of ridge and furrow. The triangular are to the south displays a slight curve, possibly aratral. The adjacent block is straighter. Overall width is circa five metres. To the north is a north-west to south-east aligned narrow block approximately 30 metres wide. The ridge and furrow displays a slight curve and average width is four metres. To the immediate north-east, and separated by a possible headland, is a block of regular ridge and furrow orientated at ninety degrees and with an average width of six metres.

In places, the ridge and furrow is truncated by earthworks of later marl pits. Later field boundaries, surving as ditches generally appear to respect the blocks of ridge and furrow except, possibly, at the south-eastern end of the narrow block. Here, the earthworks suggest a small enclosure which may be the site of a house or farmstead.
