Full Description
<1> English Heritage, 2005, List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, 414959 (Digital Archive). SCH4666.
Former Methodist chapel, two houses and Sunday School, now two houses and storage: c.1840 but partly converted to Sunday School 1873. Washed and rendered brick, green painted Welsh slate roof and two brick chimneys. H-shaped plan. Northerly cross-wing is chapel with two-storey, symmetrical three-bay front. End bays have lancets with heavy label moulds. Similar mould over central board door with four-light mullioned and transomed window with crude intersecting tracery, small light above in the gable. Similar lancets down north side. Central portion is of two similar three bay houses with sixteen-pane sashes and half glazed doors approached by three stone steps with iron balusters. Southerly cross-wing is of two and a half storeys and two bays with sixteen-pane windows and blocked semi-circular headed light in the gable.
