Medieval plough headlands and medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible as earthworks on historic vertical air photographs and lidar imagery in the south-west of the parish of Ashton Hayes and the north of the parish of Kelsall, centred at SJ 506 682. The majority of these are extant on the latest 2016 vertical photography (see 2-4).
