Summary

An early nineteenth century farmstead comprising a farmhouse and barn. The Farmhouse appears to survive with the same footprint. The linear barn has ben extended and outbuildings have been replaced.

Full Description

<1> See map for surveyor, c.1837-51, Cheshire Tithe Maps and Awards, EDT 193/2 c1844 (Maps and Plans). SCH3266.

This map depicts a house and adjacent linear building . The plot is decribed as house outbuildings yard and orchard owned by James Davies and occupied by James Davis eand George Mills. The plot which the linear building lies within has no plot name but the plot to the west is named " Croft beyond Barn" and the plot to the south is named "Barn Field" suggesting the linear building is a barn.

This map depicts the house and linear barn to the West. To the south of the house is a possible garden and orchard. Small outbuildings within a yard between the house and barn.
