This map depicts building adjacent to the Macclesfield Canal which is labelled 'Saw Mill (stone)'. There is a chimney (labelled) c.15m to the south west and a saw pit (also labelled) c.35m to the north-east.

This map depicts building adjacent to the Macclesfield Canal which is labelled 'Saw Mill (stone)'. Two smaller buildings or extensions are depicted on the south-eastern side of the building. To the immediate north-east and south-west of the mill building area two rectangular areas (c.30m x 10m) depicted with dotted lines and labelled T.C. A further building lies adjacent to Brookledge Lane.

The wharf at bridge no.21, Dangerous Corner, has disappeared under the garden of the modern house. There was a saw mill here, with stone saws and Lancashire boilers, where 'Styperson Blue' stone was brought down from Styperson quarry to be sawn and polished.
