Full Description

A post medieval and twentieth century brickfield is visible as earthworks on air photographs centred at SJ 8364 5544 (see 2-3). The brickfield was mapped as part of the Staffordshire National Mapping Programme project and is depicted on historic Ordnance Survey mapping [not specified, but see 5]. The earthworks are no longer extant on the latest 2010 vertical photography (see 3).

The earthworks associated with the extraction of clay for the bricks are clearly visible. There are no evident buildings.

This map depicts a large brick field. The map depicts the workings, which contain two sub-square buildings which may be the brick kilns. To their south is a long rectangular building.
