Full Description

A number of individual blocks of ridge and furrow earthworks are visible on this survey. The ridge and furrow is generally straight and headlands are absent. The distance from ridge to ridge is between four metres and eight meters. Earthworks associated with extant and former marl pits are common and truncate the ridge and furrow.

<3> The GeoInformation Group, 2005, 1940s RAF Aerial Photographs from Operation Review, CPE\UK\1935, 17/01/1947 (Aerial Photograph). SCH4608.

The earthworks are very clearly defined on these aerial photographs. They form part of a wider landscape of ridge and furrow earthworks.
