This map depicts two old shafts, spoil heaps and two buildings, one of which is labelled as a ruin, at this location.

This map depicts an old shaft (coal) and probable spoil heaps at this location. The shart is the northern of the two depicted on the earlier map (see 2) and there is no trace of the buildings.

This map depicts easternmost of this group of pits and a tramway (railway) between these pits and a coal wharf at The Bank.

One of a small group of old shafts depicted in the area to the north-east of the Hall o' Lee Colliery. Although connected by a network of unenclosed trackways, and via a tramway to a coal wharf at The Bank, it isn't clear if these shafts form part of a larger connected mine or are individual workings.

Some features visible on the historic Ordnance survey maps (see 2 & 3) appear to survive as earthworks.

A number of small post medieval collieries are visible as earthworks on air photographs centred at SJ 8465 5676. The collieries are comprised of shafts, associated shaft mounds, an extractive pit, spoil heaps, a pond and several trackways. The earthworks were mapped as part of the Staffordshire National Mapping Programme Project and are depicted on historic Ordnance Survey mapping. Elements of the earthworks are extant on the latest 2010 vertical photography (see 2, 8 & 9).
