Summary

A late nineteenth century country house or villa. The main house was demolished in the mid twentieth century following a fire. The remaining buildings have been converted to houses.

First depicted on this map; shows the house with a U shaped range of buildings attached at its south-eastern corner. Surrounded by a small ornamental garden. There is a lodge adjacent to the entrance of Weaste Lane.

This map depicts a further range of buildings which have been constructed to the east (and connect to) the U shaped range. To the south of this new range is a possible walled garden with an associated building and glasshouse on the northern side.

The house, associated ranges and walled garden are still extant.

The western two thirds of the house have been demolished.

Reputedly the home of J Paul Ryland who used the turret of the house as an observatory. The house was largely demolished following a fire.
