<1> Jay Ashall Partnership Chartered Architects, 2019, Heritage Impact Assessment for the Conversion and Extension of Existing Barn at Pyegreave Farm, Langley, R4338 (Client Report). SCH8745.
A heritage assessment was produced in 2019 for Pyegreave Farm, Langley, in advance of the conversion of a barn, originally a cart shed, within the curtilage of the Grade II listed farmhouse. The farmhouse was built in the mid-eighteenth century and altered in the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century. It is depicted on the Tithe Map for Sutton, dating to 1850, along with three other buildings, two of which are still extant barns located to the south-west and south of the farmhouse. A smaller building to the north of the farmhouse no longer exists. The barn which is to be converted to residential use does not appear on the Tithe Map but is shown on OS maps dated 1897 and 1907-1910. The maps depict the barn with a projecting annex to the north-west; the annex no longer exists but is to be re-instated as as part of the proposed conversion.
