A heritage assessment was produced in 2019 for Pyegreave Farm, Langley, in advance of the conversion of a barn, originally a cart shed, within the curtilage of the Grade II listed farmhouse. The farmhouse was built in the mid-eighteenth century and altered in the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century. It is depicted on the Tithe Map for Sutton, dating to 1850, along with three other buildings, two of which are still extant barns located to the south-west and south of the farmhouse. A smaller building to the north of the farmhouse no longer exists. The barn which is to be converted to residential use does not appear on the Tithe Map but is shown on OS maps dated 1897 and 1907-1910.

The Tithe Map apportionment records the owner of Pyegreave Farm to be Ms Mary Twemlow, her holdings included the house, garden, associated buildings and approximately 110 acres of land surrounding Pyegreave Farm. She bought Pyegreave in the late 18th century for her husband, Mr Thomas Twemlow. On the death of Thomas in 1801, Mary kept Pyegreave and it was passed down through the Twemlow family following her death in 1821. The occupier of Pygreave Farm at this time was a Mr Thomas Whiston (presumably a tenant of Ms Twemlow).
