A line of five sandstone blocks were recorded during excavations in 2018 off Grosvenor Park Road. Directly above the sandstone blocks was a single course of nineteenth century unfrogged red bricks. Nineteenth century lime mortar and modern cement mortar was observed on both the blocks and bricks. It is possible that these structures may relate to the former tenements of Bateman’s Court seen on the 1873, 1898 and 1959 Ordnance Survey Maps.
