Building record 200/4/4 - Stable Building South-East of Crewe Hall Farmhouse

Stable block built in the nineteenth century rural vernacular in red brick and with tile roofs. Probably built in two phases; the eastern phase comprises a ground floor and roof space, whereas the western phase has two storeys. The eastern phase is depicted on the 1876 Ordnance survey map (see 2). The former stable entrances open on to what was once a rectangular stable yard. Probably contemporary with the listed farm buildings to the north.
