An area of irregular earthworks is visible on these aerial photographs.

These earthworks are clearly visible on aerial photographs taken by the RAF in the 1940s (see 2). The often somewhat sinuous linear features correspond to former field boundaries and two trackways or lanes depicted on the tithe map (see 3) for this township. The more irregular areas seem to correspond with areas of woodland and ‘rough’ depicted on the same map. Other pit like earthworks correspond with pits depicted on this map and the later Ordnance Survey map (see 4).
