Summary

A probable farmstead comprising four buildings and a yard is depicted on early nineteenth century maps. Place-name evidence suggests that the farmstead may have medieval origins. The farmstead was demolished in the mid nineteenth century and rebuilt as a lodge to the park at Combermere.
