An elongated sub-rectangular cropmark is visible to the south-west of Earnslow Grange.
<2> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ6273, 1872-1877 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.
A pond c.100m x c.10m is depicted at this location, adjacent to a field boundary.

This feature may survive as a slight earthwork.

Given the proximity of this site to the medieval grange (CHER 687/1), this may be a fishpond.
