A heritage assessment was undertaken in 2010 for land to the east of Wistaston Green Road in advance of a residential development. It identified a post medieval building immediately to the south of a homestead at Little West End (see MCH24473/14150). All buildings are depicted on Bryant's Map of 1831 and on the tithe map of 1840. The tithe apportionment describes this plot as 'Barn Field' indicating the building to be a barn; the owner was Norcop William Church and the occupier Richard Ryley, the same as the homestead to the north. Later mapping indicates that the barn was demolished between 1991 and 2006.
