Monument record 7981 - Trackways on Kerridge Hill

Please read our .

Summary

A complex of trackways surviving as earthworks on eastern side of Kerridge Hill (see 6). A trackway runs north from woodland near Tower Hill Farm to North End Farm via Kerridgeside. It's probable that this was once the route from Tower Hill to Bollington. Further trackways connect the main track to bell pits (see CHER 7980/1-3) and quarries (see CHER 7979) which lie either side. A further track leads to the top of Kerridge Hill.
