Find Spot record 8005/2 - Finger Ring, near Chester College

A bronze finger-ring was found in the garden of a house near Chester College in Parkgate Road. It was found 'some years ago' (1).

Watkin describes the discovery as from Upper Northgate Street in 1800 (4)

It has traces of gilding and contains an intaglio of glass paste depicting a Victory, holding a palm branch and wreath standing on a globe, and is probably late second century (2).
