Full Description
<1> Chester Archaeology, 1991, A Desk-Based Archaeological Assessment of Mollington Grange Golf Course, Chester (Client Report). SCH4107.
SJ 3870 6947: Potential building platforms of medieval or post medieval date identified in 1991 to the north of Mollington Grange and close to Parkgate Road. This part of the field is that formerly known as Kiln Croft and it is possible that one of the platforms represents the site of the kiln. The former field boundary survives as a very low ridge to the east and further east still are the remains of ridge and furrow cultivation.
