Monument record 11452 - Post medieval soil layer, Union Street, Chester

Evidence of a layer of clay loam under 20th century construction layers was recorded during archaeological investigations at Union Street in 2014. This could represent a relic soil dating to the early 19th century park and terrace houses located on this site prior to the construction of the City baths in the late 19th century.
