Monument record 2386 - Roman and Romano-British Finds From Duckington

Please read our .

Summary

A substantial number of finds of Roman/Romano-British metalwork from fields to the north west of The Croppings, Duckington. The finds include five second to third century coins and nine brooches of a similar date. This concentration of finds may indicate the presence of a contemporaneous settlement as sub-surface archaeological remains. However, there is the distinct possibility that these finds are part of a hoard which has been dispersed by ploughing.
