<1> Royal Air Force, 1944-1947, 1940s RAF Aerial Photographs from Operation Review (Aerial Photograph). SCH8041.
A short length (c.80m) of infantry trench in a stepped pattern are visible on aerial photographs dating from the late 1940s. The line is aligned north-east to south-west. To the immediate north west are a series of short (c.5m) linear trenches or pits. Beyond these are a series of parallel ditches and banks c.35m long and aligned north-west to south-east. These features may be associated with the American Army camp and hospital to the south (CHER 7433).
