Full Description
Excavations at St Martin's Lodge in 2013 revealed a horizon of apparently late medieval cultivation soils, between 0.3 and 0.7m thick, and one medieval feature, a beam slot with multiple post settings along its length. This feature contained numerous fragments of green-glaze pottery, spot-dated to between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries (1).
