Summary
Limited evidence of Roman settlement in the area to the north-east of the fortress. The evidence comprised traces of two roads, some settlement activity and traces of some agricultural activity of early Roman date.

Archaeological investigations at Trinity Street in 2013 encountered some evidence of Roman settlement, the site has not been published yet, however, and the information is limited.
The excavated evidence suggests some rural-urban fringe settlement with indications of two Roman roads and some settlement and agricultural activity.
