An assemblage of eighteenth to nineteenth century finds, including pottery, clay pipe fragments, bottle glass and two coins, recovered from the mound against the city wall off Nun's Rd. (1). The finds and cartographic research suggest that the mound was built no earlier than 1887, likely to provide access to the racecourse (1).
