Description

Archaeological watching brief carried out during ground developments works at the Roodee in 2013. The watching brief consisted of the landscaping of an existing earthwork mound together with the excavation of post pits for a new security fence. The project revealed that the existing mound was of a 19th-20th century date while evidence of earlier post medieval layers also existed.
