Full Description
Archaeological investigations at Frodsham Street in 1966 included the excavation of seven trenches to the rear of the street frontage. Although the results of the investigation have never been published in full the archive records the discovery of a number of medieval and post medieval features.

Trench 5 excavated within the plots of No 5-9 Frodsham Street noted a sandstone wall base at a depth of 0.37m below present ground level with some associated 17th century pottery.
