Full Description
Archaeological investigations at Frodsham Street in 1966 included the excavation of seven trenches to the rear of the street frontage. Although the results of the investigation have never been published in full the archive records the discovery of a number of medieval and post medieval features.

Traces of a inhumation burial was encountered in trench 7 of the excavations. The evidence comprised a partial human skeleton in the southern end of the site that had been disturbed by the cutting of a pit. Although dating was not discussed and there does not appear to be any analysis of the remains, the burial falls within the medieval stratigraphic sequence.
