Trenches 5, 6 and 7 were excavated within the plots of No 5-9 Frodsham Street recording a number of possible medieval features recorded on trench plans but not discussed.
In trench 5 the evidence consisted of an east-west aligned masonry wall at a depth of 0.60m below present ground level and constructed using squared sandstone blocks on a sandstone rubble foundation. A flagged stone floor was also recorded at a greater depth below present ground level (approximately 1.95m). Finally a large cut feature containing both Saxon and medieval pottery was also recorded.
In trenches 6 and 7 the evidence comprised several rubbish and cess pits of a generally medieval date.
