Full Description
During trial excavations in Grosvenor Park, near the extant Lodge building and also at the site of a proposed pavilion south of Union St., an unspecified amount of Roman pottery and ceramic building material was recovered from what was thought to have been an in situ cultivation layer of Roman date (1). Additionally, at the base of Trial Pit 2 was a plough mark running north - south (1).
