Full Description
Archaeological investigations to the north of Hunter Street in 2002 recorded traces of a probable Roman structure. Test pit 9 recorded a substantial stone wall on a north-south alignment at a depth of over 1.2m below present ground level. Although the extent of the test pit was too small to allow an interpretation of this feature it may be associated with the granary at Hunter Street (CHER 8185) (1)
