Summary
Archaeological investigations at Bridge Street in 2012 identified two parallel sandstone walls resting on the natural bedrock. A single fragment of Roman pottery of a possible second century date was recovered from the upper fill between the two parallel walls.

Archaeological investigations at Bridge Street in 2012 identified two parallel sandstone walls at a depth of approximately 0.45m below the present ground level and resting on the natural bedrock. A single fragment of Roman pottery of a possible second century date was recovered from the upper fill between the two parallel walls.
