Summary
Small quantity of medieval pottery recovered during excavations at the southern Bars site in 1990. The pottery was recovered alongside several fragments of undated plaster and bone in the southwest corner of the site.

Archaeological investigations carried out at the Bars, Chester (Southern site) in 1990 recorded small quantities of unstratified medieval pottery from trench 1 of the investigations. The trench was located adjacent to Dee Lane.
The finds comprised a small amount of medieval pottery along with some plaster and bone fragments overlying an earlier metalled surface of probable Roman date.
