Summary
A large collection of clay tobacco pipe was recovered from a garden on Lache Lane. The assemblage appears to date primarily to the 17th century up to the 19th century. Of the 29 makers marks from the assemblage, nine are previously unrecorded and four are unique to Chester. In addition a small quantity of post medieval pottery of a similar date was also recovered.

A large collection of clay tobacco pipe was recovered from a garden on Lache Lane. The assemblage appears to date primarily to the 17th century up to the 19th century. Of the 29 makers marks from the assemblage, nine are previously unrecorded and four are unique to Chester. In addition a small quantity of post medieval pottery of a similar date was also recovered.
