Building record 12000/7 - Chester City Walls - St Martin's Gate

St Martin’s Gate is a breach in a northern section of the city walls (CHER 12000/6), made in 1966 when the route for the ring road was decided upon. It was named because of an association of the area with the ancient parish of that name (8).
