Full Description
No 112-116 Curzon Park North consists of two detached suburban villas originally built in the 1850s in the Italianate style as part of the Curzon Park suburb. (1)
No 112 includes later extensions added to each side in around 1900 and has since been converted into two properties. It is a rendered two storey building with a hipped grey slate roof. The north face to the Dee has 3 canted bay windows; sashes and round-arched sashes. Frieze and cornice to all sides of house; 4 rendered chimneys. (1)
No 116 includes a stable wing that was later converted into a separate dwelling in the later 20th century. It is two storeys high in the main with a tower of three storeys and projecting one storey wing. (1)
Curzon Park was a mid 19th century suburb aimed at the upper middle class with large detached or semi detached properties often built in the Italianate style and set within large designed gardens. (1)
