Full Description
A building survey carried out on 11-15 Boughton as part of the redevelopment of the Bars area. The buildings are of handmade red brick to the rear in an irregular bond with a whitewashed facade of a possible 18th or early 19th century date. The buildings were roofed with modern tiling supported on common rafters. Few internal features survive following extensive stripping of the interior of all three properties in the 1960s.
Sharp’s Court consisted of a row of former back-to-back terraced houses built in around 1833, of which, only No 1 Sharps Court remained at the time of the survey, the rest being entirely rebuilt. No 1 Sharp’s Court consists of a one half of a back-to-back terraced house with a ‘blind’ rear elevation. (1)
